By EMS Captain Matthew Burgan
October 17, 2018

At 11:00 this morning, units from Lineboro were alerted to assist with a bus accident in Baltimore County at the intersection of Brickstore Road and Falls Road. Responding units arrived to find a collision involving a sedan and a large charter bus. Medic 79 transported patients to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries whileEngine 72’s crew assisted with operations on scene. Upon being notified that the uninjured passengers on the bus had been transported by another bus to River Valley Ranch, the incident commander requested to have units investigate and account for the passengers. EMS 7 reported to River Valley Ranch, a camp and recreational center in Lineboro, to assist with accounting for the passengers. Once it was clear that all the people who had been on the bus were accounted for, and with no other injuries being reported, the units at River Valley Ranch returned to service.

Prior to this incident, the leadership at Lineboro had been working in conjunction with leadership at River Valley Ranch to host a regional mass casualty exercise, scheduled for December 1st.

Units: Medic 79, Engine 72, EMS 7
