This morning at 0223 hours, Engine 72 and Medic 79 responded to a single vehicle accident with rollover. Medic 79 arrived and confirmed 1 vehicle off the roadway with 1 occupant who self extricated and 1 occupant trapped. E72 arrived and completed the extrication of the second patient. Ambulance 52 and Medic 46 transported the first patient. Due to the location of the vehicle in the stream and down a steep embankment, York Engine 52-2 assisted with setting up a basic stokes basket operation to safely move the second patient to higher ground and to Medic 79. York Engine 47-1 set up a helicopter landing site at Manheim Elementary and the second patient was airlifted via Stat Medevac to Hershey Hospital.
