Brush Fire on Brodbecks Road

On Wednesday February 26th at 1pm, Station 7 was alerted for a brush fire in the 6600 block of Brodbecks Road. Captain 7-1 arrived to a large area of burning brush, woods & marsh that was rapidly spreading, prompting the request for additional resources. LVFD responded with a total of 11 volunteers and paid staff. We would also like to thank our neighboring companies for their teamwork in extinguishing this fire.

Ultimately, an area of approximately 4 acres was affected from a small burn pile that got out of control. We urge our residents to utilize extreme caution while burning yard waste on their properties, and to always abide to the current burning rules & regulations set in place by local governments.
